flydubai, Dubai’s first low-cost carrier, has contracted Jet Aviation to conduct full technical acceptance procedures and delivery service on its fleet of new Boeing 737-800 jets. Jet Aviation completed its first acceptance and delivery project last month.

In September 2009, Jet Aviation Dubai entered into an agreement with flydubai for the delivery and technical acceptance of a brand new 737-800 aircraft. Jet Aviation conducted the full technical new aircraft procedure in accordance with the procedures and checklists from flydubai Quality Assurance, and which included the mandatory AD 111 required by the local GCAA. On October 13, the aircraft was delivered on time in Dubai, where the B737-800 was immediately taken into operational service.

The aircraft is the fifth of 54 next generation Boeing 737-800s flydubai has on order from the US manufacturer. Discussions are underway for Jet Aviation to work on future flydubai acceptance procedures and deliveries. According to Michael Rücker, senior vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Dubai, “We are very proud to have been awarded to provide such very specialized services to flydubai.”
