Midcoast Aviation first to perform 8C inspections on Global landing gear

Midcoast Aviation now is performing 8C landing gear inspections on Global Express aircraft and is the first non-OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) to perform this type of service.

“As a long-time partner with Bombardier, we are pleased to be able to expand our service offerings and offer one-stop shopping to Global Express operators,” says Skip Madsen, Midcoast senior vice president, operations.

With this addition, Midcoast Aviation now offers these inspections on Globals and Challenger 600s, 601s and 604s. The 120-month inspection takes about six weeks to perform, and the company expects to perform approximately 15 to 20 each year. This year marks Midcoast’s 10th anniversary for performing the work on the 600s and 601s.
