Savannah Air Center doubles capacity with new hangar
October 08, 2008
Savannah Air Center has doubled its capacity since the opening of the new hangar in spring 2008 and also increased the company’s ability to accommodate additional large business aircraft. The 101,500 sq ft , state-of-the-art structure accommodates up to 12 large cabin aircraft such as the Global Express and Gulfstream V. The additional hangar, which includes ample room for staff and support offices, is being used primarily for green completions. “The addition of this hangar to our facility was critical to the continued growth of our business,” said Jeff Zacharius, Savannah Air Center’s president. “As an authorized completions center for Bombardier Global 5000 and Global Express XRS aircraft, we are actively developing our green completions business. This expansion allowed us to efficiently serve these new Bombardier customers while growing our interior refurbishment, avionics and maintenance business for other large cabin aircraft owners.” Savannah Air Center specializes in interior completions, refurbishment and modifications of all models of large cabin aircraft. The company was recently selected to perform the interior completions and exterior paint for a series of green Challenger 850s. “Our timing could not have been any better,” added Zacharius. “The opening of our new hangar facility fit perfectly with the induction dates of the green Challenger 850s.” |
